Magelis HMI Panels

The Magelis XBT GT series HMI panels are graphic TFT color displays that come in two basic models.

• Advanced Panels Magelis XBT GT 5.7“, 10. 4“, 12.1“, and 15“ run under the VxWorks real-time operating system. They have 16 MB or 32 MB RAM respectively.
• Advanced Panels Magelis XBT GTW have 8.4“ or 15“ displays and run the Windows XP embedded operating system.

Both types are supplied with 256 MB memory that can be upgraded up to 1 GB and are fitted with Ethernet, RS 232C and USB interfaces. Depending on their type, the devices are CE, UL508 and CSA certified, with an additional ATEX zone 2/22 certification for the VxWorks models.

Advanced Panels Magelis XBT GT

All the Magelis HMI panels use the Vijeo Designer software configuration tool and ARTI (Asynchronous Runtime Interface) protocol driver to link the HMI and controller. ARTI represents an excellent alternative to Modbus TCP or OPC, requiring less engineering effort and less hardware. There is no Window PC required as in an OPC server installation. It provides direct communication between the runtime system and HMI and gives Vijeo Designer’s browser functionality direct access to the variables of the runtime system with no need to redefine variables.

• Java scripting: Periodical or event-driven processing of Java-like procedures; enables automated procedures such as automatic image switches, mathematical and logical calculations as well as scaling automatic value changes of variables
• Alert manager: Max 9,999 alarm alerts
• Web Gate function: for devices with an Ethernet interface
• Display of the application in the web browser
• Remote control of the application by means of the web browser
