Modules Basic Machines I and II
During the first and second day of the seminar, you will become acquainted with the fundamental interactions of the system such as the most important system variables, the diagnosis concept as well as with the most important IEC 61131-based editors in EPAS. During days 3-5, you will learn how to write sustainable data / program structures and will gain insight into basic motion concepts. At the end of the seminar, you will apply this knowledge to implement a simple machine topology.

• Servo motor, drive and position control 
• Knowing and understanding system variables 
• Diagnosis

• Principle of safety wiring 
• IEC basics 
• Basic project handling 
• Runtime behavior of programs 
• Hands-on introduction of the IEC editors, function plan, functional sequence chart FSC, and structured text ST 
• Mapping of machine topologies onto program and data structures 

 
 
Basic Machines II (3 days) - Contents 

• Basic Motion 
• Motion of individual axes 
• Addition of a second axis and managing several axes 
• Coordinating motions by means of an electronic master shaft. 
• Principle of the logical encoder 
• Set-up of a simple machine as a master/slave system 
• Defined stop of a machine 
• Real Basic Machines 
• Implementation of simple machine topologies based on pre-set data and program structures
